For the education industry, one of the best marketing platforms is Digital Media. I am making a statement but you must be thinking how can be I so sure?

While working as an Asst. Professor at an engineering college I experimented with Digital Marketing for advertising and branding of college.

One thing that has been observed in today’s young generation is no one is spending time on traditional media sources like TV or newspapers. Instead of these sources, students are more active on OTT platforms (Netflix, Hotstar, etc.) Blogs & social media.

And we are Advertising for students, right? As we need to be in front of these students then we should advertise and grow our brand on those platforms. This is the reason why I got the best results with digital marketing.

How to use Digital Media for the maximum result?

My mentor says “Marketing is all about the right message to the right person at the right time.” For maximum results, we need maximum reach. And here is the point to be noted “We can’t get maximum reach organically. Due to the recent updates in the algorithms of Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, we can not reach more than 5%-10% of your followers. 

Then what to do?

You need to advertise your institute. The best and most affordable way is social media advertising. Now I will talk about step-by-step advertising strategies and marketing funnels that you should use.

Step-By-Step Strategy For Building Marketing Funnel For Institute

1. Create Your presence on Social Media

Before advertising, you need to create the presence of your institute on social media. So the first thing is to create a Facebook page, Instagram page & YouTube channel. We have many more social platforms but according to my experience, these are the most effective platforms for us. Now you have created a social media presence, right? 

2. Create Content For Your Audience

Let’s move to the second step. The next step is creating content for your audience. Create content in the form of Articles, Images & Videos. Putting content in all forms is necessary. Because you will be able to decide which content is performing well for you.

3. Time to Advertise Your Institute

Finally, you are ready to advertise your Institute. For advertising your business you have two options in front of you Inbound & Outbound advertising. Now the question is what are they? So Google Ads is an inbound advertising platform where customers search for services you provide & Facebook Ads is an outbound advertising platform where you are going to approach your future customers. 

You are clear about those two advertising platforms. So Google ads can be more productive. But again we are targeting students so you will get more results with Facebook Advertising. 

It’s time to create your Facebook Ads account. Create an ads account & you are ready to launch your first campaign. Again two types of ads are in video format and image format.

Most people fail to get results with advertising. The reason is random advertising. You need to decide the reason for your advertising & then track your results. The analysis will help you decide your best audience & best campaign for the best results.

Now select your content for advertising & then select your audience. While selecting your audience you need to keep some factors in mind.

★ Gender

★ Area where they live 

★ Education

★ Profession they are interested

★ Performance analytics found by Facebook

★ Site Visited By Students

★ Traveling Area

Now you have to decide your potential student or parents’ audience with consideration of those factors which I have mentioned. Launch your Ad campaign.
